"House of Dolls and Strings" is a semester project for a concept art course. The goal is to reimagine a classic monster movie (Dracula, Creature of the Black Lagoon, and Frankenstein) into three characters: a protagonist, an antagonist, and a monster. Along with characters, we have to create a prop that’s used in our narratives. I chose to do Frankenstein and based the setting in 1930s London in the times of economic depression. The prop I wanted to make is an operating table that the antagonist, Dr. Victoria, uses as a workspace for her misshapen and horrifying monsters.
